Chilled Drinking Fountain for Cave Creek Larkspur Park

Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance successfully advocated for installation of a Chilled Drinking Water Station, in partnership with the City of Phoenix Office of Innovation (part of the City Manager’s Office), and with the help and support of District 3 City Councilmember Debra Stark.

This amenity will make our neighborhood park (Cave Creek Park at Larkspur, 2354 W Larkspur Drive) safer, healthier, and more usable—especially in the hottest months of the year.

How it happened

Advocacy: Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance

  • Applied for funding through Neighborhood Parks Enhancement Grant

  • After grant application was unsuccessful, continued advocacy with City Councilmember’s office which connected us with another opportunity through the Office of Innovation
