Mid-block Crosswalk on Aster Drive

Aster Drive between 19th Avenue and 20th Avenue sees a substantial number of pedestrian crossings, but lacks marked crosswalks. Motor vehicle traffic on 19th Avenue travels at such high speeds that placing a crosswalk at 19th Avenue and Aster may not have the desired effect of improving pedestrian safety. The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department agreed to install a mid-block crosswalk on this section of Aster Drive.
